Brief Background of our Managing Partner

Our Managing Partner, Ms. Queen Letshabo holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from University of Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa. She is also a Notary Public and Conveyancer and has 5 (five) years post qualification experience in the legal field. Throughout the years, Ms. Letshabo has garnered knowledge and skills in various areas of law including the following, , Contract Law, Family Law, Company Law, Intellectual Property Law, Competition Law. Administrative Law, Labour and Employment Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Debt Collection, Administration of Estates, Insolvency Law, Criminal Law and various other areas of law.

Ms Letshabo handled cases of the following magnitude, (either singlehandedly or as head of the team);
  • Was lead Attorney in different debt-collection portfolios, the largest being in the total amount of P1.5 Million Pula where she was instructed to collect debt on behalf of a private school operating in Gaborone;
  • Was part of a team which dealt with an insolvency matter, defending a civil claim in a dispute involving 85.966.52 carats of diamonds.
  • Handled various civil suits on behalf of Clients, the highest amount of P3.6 Million Pula.
  • Held watching brief in various criminal matter, in matters where the Client had laid charges of theft by servant, the highest amount appropriated being the amount of P3.6 Million Pula.
  • Held watching brief over a matter in a different jurisdiction on behalf of client, through the assistance of correspondent attorneys in the said jurisdiction.

Professional Indemnity and Bank Account Audit

Our attorneys have professional indemnity further, an annual audit of our firm’s bank accounts is conducted by an independent auditing firm.

Correspondent Attorneys

We have correspondent attorneys who we work with on matters which are outside of Gaborone and Botswana. Such offices assist us with various issues including filing at court, service of court process, court attendances as and when the need arises. Our correspondent attorneys are based in Francistown, Jwaneng, Maun, Kasane, Palapye as well as Johannesburg, South Africa.
We have available to us, various Advocates whom we engage on complex matter subject to our Client’s approval.
Our law firm is fully computerized and we use various kinds of programs to ensure that all of our Client’s needs are met. In addition, our firm utilizes anti-virus software and firewalls, with automated computer backups carried out on a weekly basis. Each of our computers are password protected, in order to protect the technical integrity of the firm’s network.

Our Fee Structure

Our fee structure is negotiable to suit our Client’s specific needs. In negotiating our fees, we take the following into consideration;

  • The complexity and intricacy of the work;
  • The costs involved in doing the work;
  • Disbursements to be charged.
